Wee Humans was a home-based preschool created by Sarah Stone in June 2017. The demand in our community for high-quality, nature-based early childhood education quickly outgrew the original space (Our waiting list was 7x our capacity!). To accommodate the demand, in October 2018, a non-profit organization was created called Almitas Foundation. Almitas is a Latin word which means nurture and kindness. We believe that children should be nurtured in a way which creates kindness toward our earth and each other. Wonderbloom, the new name for Wee Humans nature preschool, is a mission of Almitas Foundation. Wonderbloom inspires visualizations of children's wonder and curiosity growing and blooming as they play and learn! Wonderbloom will be able to serve more children than our current location, but it is still expected to fill quickly.
